The Red Coats Are Coming!

On Independence Day I evenly braided all of my sister’s hair and then tied small, red, white, and blue bows (made out of yarn) on the ends of her braids all over her head.  She loved this new look and did I!!  🙂  Enjoy the pictures!

Red, White, & Blue

The bows are easy to do. Here’s what I did~

1) Cut small lengths of different colors of yarn…

2) As you go through the hair (braiding it) tie a bow on each end and resize it to your desired size.

3) If there is any excess length with the yarn ;), simple cut it off to your desired length.

4) Ta-da!  Wasn’t that easy?  It’s super easy and looks great too!

“While we give praise to God, the Supreme Disposer of all events, for His interposition on our behalf, let us guard against the dangerous error of trusting in, or boasting of, an arm of flesh … If your cause is just, if your principles are pure, and if your conduct is prudent, you need not fear the multitude of opposing hosts.

What follows from this? That he is the best friend to American liberty, who is most sincere and active in promoting true and undefiled religion, and who sets himself with the greatest firmness to bear down profanity and immorality of every kind.

Whoever is an avowed enemy of God, I scruple not to call him an enemy of his country.”

-John Witherspoon | Signer of the Declaration of Independence, Clergyman and President of Princeton University | Sermon at Princeton University, “The Dominion of Providence over the Passions of Men,” May 17, 1776.

What are some of your favorite 4th of July styles?
